ROSSCA
Where ceramics becomes art and traditions take on a contemporary feel
Darina Radaeva is a visionary and co-founder of the ROSSCA project, a creative space where a dialogue between the past and the future is born. Darina and her team create art objects that combine tradition and innovation, while remaining relevant in the modern world.
The basis for self-expression was ceramics - a material that combines history and modern artistic possibilities. There is a special magic in the passage of products through life from a raw piece of clay to an exquisite work of art. Isn't this creativity in its purest form?
And what incredible shapes, colors and pleasant to the touch textures can be acquired by clay art objects, how easily and effectively they fit into any space.

Not limited to ceramics and porcelain, the ROSSCA team works with metal, which gives their creations strength and structure. When choosing a material, ROSSCA is guided by the main principle - which of them is able to enhance the artistic idea. Not only to complement visually, but also to evoke tactile sensations.

ROSSCA's exclusive collections include different forms of expression in one space. These are both works of art and unique paintings that add beauty and depth. Each element of the collection works for a single idea.

"Black Caviar" is ROSSCA's "confession" to the world about modern values and contrasts. On the one hand, the image of black caviar is associated with sophistication and rarity. On the other hand, it reflects the internal contradictions of the time: the desire for wealth and success, intertwined with the vulnerability of human ambitions.

The BlackCaviar collection gracefully intertwines pretentiousness with minimalism, highlighting the contrast between luxury and restraint. The result is a unique visual language that speaks to the fragility of values and aesthetics in our time.Darina lives in Italy, but her work is imbued with a truly Russian spirit.

The contrast of two great cultures has a powerful influence on her work. ROSSCA skillfully reflects the dialogue between such different worlds, combining Russian depth and emotionality with Italian sophistication and minimalism. The objects created are simultaneously complex in meaning and laconic in form, while freely fitting into different cultural contexts.
Darina often travels and is inspired by ideas from different corners of the world. She knows better than anyone that Russian craft art has always been highly valued abroad due to its bright originality and strong cultural code.
ROSSCA is a bright example of how Russian art can attract the attention of the global public while maintaining its uniqueness and depth.
This "art from Russia" is expressive due to its deep emotional content, underlying philosophical ideas, historical experiences and folk traditions. Its multi-layeredness and intensity allow it to create universal themes and resonate in the hearts of people all over the world.
Darina sees the future of ROSSCA in constant development and expansion of its influence in the art world. She plans to diversify the project, combining exclusive collections with serial production, as well as open a ROSSCA workshop for students of the DPI to study contemporary ceramics.
Darina and her team strive to create a space where art inspires and awakens the soul, opening a dialogue between cultures. And they succeed in this masterfully.
“Ceramics is a material that comes to life in the hands of a master,” Darina shares.
“Through this collection we convey the dialogue between a person’s inner world and what he tries to show to the outside world, raising questions about authenticity, status and self-identity,” explains Darina.

"For me, Russia is a rich cultural heritage, full of symbols and traditions. Italy, on the contrary, brings an element of classical harmony and Renaissance aesthetics to my work," she notes.
ROSSCA is not just a business, it is a mission.
